Mr. David Normanyo

Mr. David Normanyo is a Public Servant with a total of 21 years’ experience in the fields of Law Enforcement, Peacekeeping, Peacebuilding and Responsibility to Protect (R2P) Advocacy. Before joining the National Peace Council, David served the Ghana Police Service for 16 years of which he served one year with the United Nations African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), Sudan as a Police Advisor.

David holds a Master of Arts degree in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Ghana, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Geography & Resource Development from the University of Ghana and a Diploma in Private Investigation from the Detective Training Institute (DTI) in the United States.

He is a 2013 Defence Diplomacy Scholar, a 2016 Rotary International Peace Fellow of the Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, a 2017 Global Peace Index Ambassador for the Institute for Economics and Peace in Australia and a 2018 Noffic OKP Fellow of the Hague Academy for Local Governance in the Netherlands.
